Thumbnails not showing … sometimes

Yeah same problem here. Especially with news.google feeds. I am still using version 3.1.12. Later versions up to 3.3.0 won’t fetch the pictures at all and will show some white placeholders.

Please fix this.

The feeds are really important for my website.

Hi … thank you. We use the shortcode, this is one that’s not showing images. (Far right column under a facebook stream https://www.clean-round.com.

Seems like Google News isn’t letting us fetch the images. We will report it to our developers and see what’s causing it.

Thank you, Hardeep. Actually I wasn’t only reporting the issue, I do need help *fixing* it.

It’s not working and other people are having this issue too. Please give me some understanding of what is going on, or let me know if I can help with anything from my end.

It’s bad to have such a highly visible problem go on like this.

Fix for this will be provided in the next version of the plugin.

We don’t have a temporary solution in this meantime, unfortunately.

All you will need to do is update the plugin when a new version is available.

Thank you, but the update did not help with the thumbnails. It actually removed the few feed streams that had images. Now there are none that show thumbnails.

Is there another update planned, or is this the end of showing Google feeds? It’s a great plugin except for not having thumbnails lately. Appreciate your help!

Thank you for coming back to us. I think you had not the latest version when you have opened that topic because we have not released the version with the fix for that issue.

We have fixed the issue, and the new version will be released soon.

THIS WAS NEVER RESOLVED … don’t know why it’s marked as resolved.

Now it’s been 3 months and the issue is the same. Others have posted the identical issue. You can’t display Google’s RSS, it’s an issue.
