My problem (thumbnails not created in NextGen) is caused by the pluging “Justified Image Grid”. The developer is supposed to look at it for me, but haven’t get back to me yet with a solution.

debbiejames, I verified and, for me, the thumbnails are created when I upload an image into WP Media.

bradvader, I’ve tested your solution using bulk action to create new thumbnails, and it did not work.

I am pretty sure that it is a JQuery issue, and we may have multiple versions of it installed. However, I am not a programer and I don’t know how to resolve it. As mentioned, the developer of the plugin “Justified Image Grid” is looking at it and should email me back shortly. I will post when it will be resolved.

I just upgraded the version of PHP on my server (GoDaddy) from 5.2 to 5.3 and it fixed the problem with memory on the thumbnails. I tried using the Create new thumbnails” and it didn’t work until I upgraded to PHP ver 5.3

@marceljomphe Is this still causing you a problem? I guess it was WPML creating an error about one of its nonces that was interfering with thumbnail creation. FYI there is an update to my plugin.

I finally figured out my issues. The permissions for the folder where the images are was not correct. Not sure why/how it changed. Once I changed the permissions to match the other folders, the thumbnails appeared. This fixed the thumbnails for NextGen gallery and the WP media uploads.

My issue finally got fixed by deactivating and reinstalling many plugins, and updating to the new WP 3.5 version.
