Thumbnails not displaying in right order

@hop2us – Did you set the “sort by file name” under Gallery > Other Options > Image Options before or after you inserted the gallery into the page (provided you used the ATP to insert the gallery)?

I have the same problem and am using the Twenty Fourteen theme. I have left the box unticked where is says random but still they do not display in the order I have selected. I am new to this so don’t know if you will understand what I mean.

@lorruss – No worries, you’re in a good place to start looking for help, it’s just much easier if you have your own topic so it doesn’t get lost in someone else’s issue … especially since what works for them may not necessarily work for you.

I did set the Sort by file name, yes. I set it after I made the gallery and it didn’t work. But then deleted that gallery and made a new one after I changed that setting but it still didn’t work.

@hop2us – The settings page you are showing is from a NextGEN Legacy version (1.19.13 or earlier), we are currently only providing support for the current NextGEN Gallery version.

Perhaps you should consider updating to the most recent version and then looking at what sort options you have available to use.

I figured it out. My images actually had the wrong numbers. So sorry to bother you with my user error!
