• Hi,

I’m using Photo Gallery for several months and up to now all was working fine and I have already created many albums on my web site.
This morning, I tried to add a new album, but when I uploaded the new pictures the thumbnails were not created.
After many tests with different pictures, I tried to upload again an image which was successfully uploaded in a previous album, but this time, no thumbnail again.

The PhpInfo() reports that GD Support is enabled :

    GD Support enabled
    GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
    FreeType Support enabled
    FreeType Linkage with freetype
    FreeType Version 2.3.12

    PNG Support enabled
    libPNG Version 1.4.3
    WBMP Support enabled
    XPM Support enabled
    XBM Support enabled

    Thanks for any help

Finally I found the problem, which is related to the rights on the sub-folder created for a new album inside wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery.
The previous sub-folders were created with rights 0755, and now the new created sub-folders get rights 0744 (maybe since the WordPress 4.01 update).
In fact, images are correctly uploaded and thumbnails are created, but it seems that rights are not the good ones to allow the plug-in to display the pictures or the thumbnails from the new sub-folder.
I manually change the rights on my new sub-folder to apply 0755 and it works fine now.
So the problem is partially solved, but I don’t know how to tell WordPress or Photo-Gallery to create sub-folders with the good rights.

    Dear youpain,

Please try following the solution Thilef has provided. Let us know about the results.
    Thank you.

I noticed this happened when the file has a # symbol in the name. I simply removed the symbol and it worked perfect.

    Dear jvhost2013,

Are you referring to the image filenames?
    Thank you.
