Thumbnails Galleringy Styling Selections do not work

  • Forced to install this plugin by WP Engine as they would not allow Yarpp nor Contextually Related Posts Plugins. (Whatever I understand their reasons)

    They recommended nrelate as the replacement.

    Upon activating and setting it up the list of Thumbnail Gallery setting options look great, but when you select any of them. Nothing changes.

    The instructions for this area are sparse or hidden so I toyed with the idea that I might have to copy paste the css code they offer in a pop out near each of these and paste it into the main style.css file (running a stuidopress theme Sleek).

    That didn’t work.

    Tried loading it into a custom css area.

    That didn’t work.

    On a potentially related note I separately selected to have 6 images display below the post. Images do display below the post, but only 4 and the 4th floats over top the right sidebar instead of wrapping down. Which probably indicates that this plugin is not responsive either.

    Update after writing the above, I then went in to reduce the number of images displaying from 6 (but showing 4) down to 3 in hopes that they would ‘fit’.

    Now I see a row of 3 with the styling I had previously selected, and a row of 4 with no styling. It’s as if the plugin is being called twice….

    hrmmm ok tracked down that last problem, seems to be a slight conflict with Shareaholic. Turned that off and have more control now.

    I guess there should be a big fat disclaimer, do not set this plugin live on your site for a day or so…. Or maybe ?? Expect froggy behavior ….

Settings changes should happen instantly, but please let us know if you see this issue again.
