Thumbnails for Recent Posts

  • Hello everyone,

    Sorry, i’m new – i thought i saw an answer to this before but i can’t seem to find it anywhere so apologies if i’m duplicating.

    I would like to add a little thumbnail next to my recent posts in the sidebar (i’m at https://www.xameliax.com) but i can’t seem to figure out how – just a little square/rectangle thumbnail of the feature photo would be great.

    Ideally i would like to change that to popular posts in the long run…can i do that with a plugin or would it be a coding thing?

    Sorry if i’m sounding a bit daft, i’ve come from tumlr so the past two days learning wordpress and plugins/widgets/php have been a REAL learning curve!!!

  • Hi xameliax,

    Adding a featured image to the recent posts will involve custom coding.

    Basically you can do it yourself or can look for a plugin which does it
