    How would you like to change the look of the thumbnails? To be more like the responsive gallery? You need to be more specific

    This is not possible with the current album templates.

    BUT…

    You can actually use the gallery template to create a custom form of album. You can use the custom URL for an attachment to link to a gallery page

    I managed to do what I wanted, by editing the file: Album-default.css
    You can see the result here https://test.vuedailleurs.com/galeries/

    I wonder if there is another way to do the same, so do not have to start at a future update?

    I do not think you should edit the files, as any updates will override your changes. A better solution is to add custom CSS that will make your changes. Or even create your own album template to suit your needs
