    Hello

I am using the Next-gen Gallery plugin on a wordpress website. Everything works perfect!

Only when i ROTATE a picture, everything is ok except that the thumbnail does not rotate on the website. (even when i refresh f5 or ctrl + f5)

    Is this a setting?

    thx

@teves1986 – can you please check the site using a totally different browser? Lets try to rule out caching as an issue. Thanks!

Hi Drew, thanks for you quick response.

    I have checked this with:

    – Google Chrome
    – Firefox
    – Internet Explorer

    and thumbnails do not rotate…

    thx

Same issue here tevez… When I click Rotate a new window opens… I am able to rotate the image there… the thumbnail never updates, and the image on the page is still upside-down as well.

@baldbrian – It would be best for you to start your own topic as there can be many variables between sites and a solution for one may not be the same for another.

    Thanks!

@tevez1986 – Thumbnails not rotating can be fixed by forcing “clear image cache” in Next-Gen Gallery -> Other Options -> Miscellaneus. I’ve tested this on the latest version. Regenerating thumbnails in gallery manager doesn’t work, also manually cutting the thumbnails doesn’t generate a new thumbnail, only clearing the cache works.

@photocrati – It would be nice if your team could patch a forced thumbnail cache clear for rotated images, so you don’t have to do it manually every time.

Tested this on localhost (xampp) and an external site on WordPress versions 3.9.2 and 4.0

@bwillow – Thanks for the feedback, we have been reviewing that option to see if it is the best go forward method to address these caching issues. As it is, clearing the image cache is only generally necessary if you want to “see” the changes immediately.
