• I’m not a technical person, the last few days I’ve been trying to update some of my galleries. Some of my jpegs are not uploading correctly, they don’t have thumbnails and they won’t display properly. Others are just fine. Size doesn’t have anything to do with it.

I have no idea how to fix this ??

  • Hi,

Can you describe more detailed please.

With a link to your site or a link to a screenshot.

What about the filenames? Any special characters?

I do encounter a problem which looks similar than yours – in my case i guess it′s the filename – i do not have a solution yet.

the file names have no spaces and special characters

    My test page

there is my test page as you see one group of images loads fine, the menu at the top the files are giant, I know I need to resize

between the horizontal rules there should be a thumbnail

and at the bottom is the screen shot of the gallery with the missing thumbnails

what is very odd to me is, that some of the images I up load work just fine, I tried:

*resaving from original files, in both Illustrator and Photoshop
*using the “save for web” menu
    *shrinking the image size
*pasting the image into a new file
    *uninstalling and reinstalling the pluggin
*deleting the contents of the folders on my server

the only difference -I can see- between the files that work and the files that don’t is the origin program, I saved the menu images from InDesign, and the other two from Illustrator or Photoshop, which makes no sense, a jpg should be a jpg, right?

also, if I click the link in the gallery the images are there, there is just no thumbnail

@keltic Kat – I have sent a response to your Bug Report for this issue and noted I am not seeing any issues on your site as you described them … but as it is, I would suggest we keep the conversation in the Bug Report for the time being.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
