thumbnail slider on top of header?

On our website, you’ll notice on the pages without a slider that there is a burgundy line on the bottom part of the header. On the pages with a slider, there is no line. Using a css viewer, the #slider-container appears to overlap the header, hence the missing line. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
