    Hello,

    Is there a way to resize the thumbnail container size on Blog Entries (Blog Archive) when ‘Thumbnail’ is selected as the Blog Style?

    Adding a value to ‘Custom Image Width’ & ‘Custom Image Height’ doesn’t change the width of the thumbnail container. For example, setting the width to 200px and the height to 150px adds the value to the img element, but the thumbnail container (.blog-entry.thumbnail-entry .thumbnail width) is still 45%. So a 200px width image is stretched to fit almost half the page width.

    I’m testing this on my localhost (PHP 7.0.3) and I’ve disabled every plugin and also run Regenerate Thumbnails but the container width remains at 45%.

    Thank you

  • Hello,

    Add the below CSS code to the Customize > Custom CSS section to fix it.

    .blog-entry.thumbnail-entry .thumbnail {
        width: 30%;
    }

    Thank you Amit,

    This means .blog-entry.thumbnail-entry .blog-entry-content will need to be changed also, from width: 55% to 70% in order to fill the full width of the page.

    Perhaps in future ‘Custom Image Width’ could be used to adjust the width of the containers when ‘Thumbnail’ rather than adding CSS? At present the purpose of ‘Custom Image Width’ seems to adjust the quality of the thumbnail only, but I might be missing the point.

    Yes, you can adjust the code as per your need and add additional classes to make it work. The custom image width of the customizer setting should work.

    Thank you, I’ll give that a go.

    You’re welcome!
