Thumbnail Scrolling

Trying to recreate Layout One Example 3 with the free plugin (Slider with thumbnails).
Everything works fine until my window width is less than the combined width of the thumbnails. On the sample page, the thumbnails scroll below the image. On my page, the thumbnails do not scroll and extend off the screen, requiring the entire window to scroll.
With the thumbnails turned off, the image resizes correctly.
