• For some reason WP 2.9 compresses my thumbnail images at a low quality so they don’t turn out as clean as I want them to.

    Where can I change the setting to have jpeg compress at 90 or 100?

    I still have not found how to solve this. Anyone?

    It is REALLY annoying having an image heavy blog and all of the looking terrible from the compression!

    I tried editing image.php on line 27 by adding 100 but that did nothing.

    return apply_filters( 'wp_create_thumbnail', $thumbpath, 100 );

    Which file controls the quality in WP?

    I’m having the same problem. They look like they’re being saved at medium to low quality jpg. Please help!

    WordPress uses the server-side GD Library to create the thumbnails and your hosting provider is responsible for the configuration of the library, including the quality of the images that it produces.

    If my problem, WP usually not crop the thumbnail on right place.
    I try to crop where i want, but it useless.

    My blog is about game
    so it have to view the right picture.
