NOTE: To see the thumbnail on the home page, scroll down the homepage
    >> https://www.psbackpacker.com/en and it’s the 1st post at the left of the 4 columns (Travel top 10)

If I use the recommended 678 x 509 px, the homepage thumbnail is perfect, but the size of the featured image at the top of the post is wrong and I’m missing parts of it.

If I use the recommend 678 x 381 px, it’s the opposite. The homepage thumbnail is wrong, but the featured image at the top of the post is OK.

Here is an example of the opposite situation with a featured image of 678 x 509 px, which looks fine on the home page (1st row, 2nd article in “Clothes & Gear” >> https://www.psbackpacker.com/en

but the image inside, at the top of the blog post is cropped…

    Hi psbackpacker,

you’ve activated a maintenance page, so we can’t see what you mean. However, the featured image on posts has a size of 678 x 381px. If the uploaded image is larger or has a different image ratio, then it will be cropped by WordPress if necessary.

By the way, it seems you’re using a premium WordPress theme (MH Magazine) and commercial themes are not supported through the forums on www.remarpro.com.

If you’ve purchased the premium theme and own a valid license for updates and support, you can send a support request through your MH Themes account and the support staff will be more than happy to answer your questions.

OK. Sending a request right away. But I used precisely 678 x 381 px and it didn’t work.
Unless its different for pro themes, these numbers are incorrect.

The numbers for the recommended pre-defined image dimensions are correct, you can learn more about these in the theme documentation. However, you need to keep in mind that there are different image ratios involved.

We’ve received your support request via email and we’ve also replied already with additional information. We’ll take it from there via email since these forums here are not for support regarding your theme. Thanks.
