if that is the case, have you already added the link to the images with the image block included in the templates? Does the template content have images? The content of the template is what is displayed as a thumbnail.

No, again, this is not what I’m talking about. As shown in the image I provided, the thumbnail in the template gallery is just a question mark. There are images and other content in the template itself. That is working great. My question is about the thumbnail in the template gallery.

Oh, thanks for your patience and for clarifying this again.

While we don’t have this documented, and it is an issue that I hadn’t seen before… I see that it is working as expected on my site. I see the thumbnails.

Could you please trying creating a new email with one of the pre-defined templates, then save it as a template, and let us know if you see the thumbnail for that one?

I solved it myself. Since it was supposed to work out of the box, I figured it had something to do with PHP-settings.

Apparently

allow_url_fopen = 1

is needed for it to work.

Just a suggestion, since enabling this might not be possible on every server or hosting, to switch to using curl or another solution in lib/NewsletterTemplates/ThumbnailSaver.php on line 126.
