    some of the images have been shrunk but not that one, and I’m not sure why.

    Pagespeed is indicating your images need to be scaled/resized. EWWW (and all the other image optimizers) only do re-compression. You need to take care of the scaling issues first. You can do so with shrink ‘o matic, or use the built in WordPress image editor (or possibly just use another existing resize).

    Thanks for the response but I disagree. I’m only talking about compression. I took that image offline and compressed it and reduced it from 65kb to 30kb without changing the dimensions.
    It seems like this thumbnail size was skipped.
    I’m using Dante theme if that has anything to do with it.

    Turn on debugging, and you’ll be able to see exactly how much EWWW saved on that particular resize by going to the Media Library in list view. It will show you the raw image metadata, along with the savings achieved for each individual resize.

    What settings are you using in shrink-o-matic if you are not changing the dimensions?
