Thumbnail is not automatically generated.

    I like this plugin that works very simple to generate video thumbnails.

    I’m using UserFrontend plugin to upload videos and images to my website’s Feed page, and I also use Offload Media to move them to AWS S3 bucket.

    Your plugin works perfectly when I manually generate thumbnails in Media Library, but I’m having a problem with making it automatically with UserFrontend.
    They said something like this for the issue.

    With another plugin for uploading videos of contest, it works good, but I cannot use this plugin for both purposes. It seems some plugins have systematic issues with your plugin.

    So do you have any idea to fix the issue with Frontend plugin? Or do you know any plugin for uploading images and videos that work smoothly with yours?

    Do you have FFMPEG installed on your server? If you don’t use the frontend uploader and you’ve enabled automatic thumbnail generation does that work?

    Yes, I have installed FFMPEG on my server, and I haved checked that it generate thumbnails automatically with the other uploader which I cannot use for my purpose. And it also works when I do it manually from media library of configuration page.

    I just want to make it work automatically.

    I just tested after I disabled the plugin, Offload Media, not to copy videos to S3 bucket, and I can see your plugin works great, automatically generating thunmbnails and save them on local my storage.

    But not sure what the problem is with uploading video files on S3 bucket.

    In some case I saw that the thumbnail was generated in like one out of 50 trials of uploading videos. So I guess it’s related kind of timing issue, maybe.

    Yes, it’s probably a timing issue. I think some people have gotten it to work in the past, but in general if you have Offload Media delete the files from your local server, some features of my plugin don’t work well.
