• Hi.

I’m currently creating the front page of my site as a Page. I want to insert a thumbnail image with text to the right.

When inserting the image and choosing ‘thumbnail’ as the size, it previews fine in the editor, but when loading the page, the image is displaying full size at 1200px.

I’ve not made any changes to the thumbnail settings or anything like that. The image was uploaded and crunched before I started the post as I use it elsewhere in a gallery.

The image has the class “size-medium”, and the url appears to have a resize section coded onto the end of it – it’s just that it doesn’t appear to be resizing for some reason.

    the URL is: https://gtwordpress.greytrilby.com/grey-trilby-photography-and-design-by-tobias-alexander/

Any ideas what might be causing this and how I can fix it?

OK – an update to this, as I thought I was going crazy for a second there.
This actually appears to be a bug – I’m wondering if anyone else can replicate it.

    1) In a post type a paragraph, insert a large image, set to show at ‘size medium’ and aligned to left or right.
    2) Publish

The image does not show at ‘size medium’ but at full size.

    To fix:
    1) Click the ‘edit’ pencil icon on the image in the post
    2) Choose ‘thumbnail’ size.
    3) Click Update
    4) Repeat step 1
    5) Choose ‘Medium’ size
    6) Click Update
    7) Update the published post

The medium size should now be showing.
