Thumbnail images without post content

I’m using various plugins to generate thumbnails for posts. All good and no problems. However, what I really need to do is have only the thumbnails displayed on a (new template) page I’ve created, when clicked these then link through to the full post with the full-size image.

Tried various plugins, all of which are great at displaying the thumbnail WITH the title and post text.

I am guessing that the loop will by default display the post title and text – is there a way to remove the title and text, just wrapping the thumbnail snippet in the permalink snippet to link to the complete post?
