Thumbnail images from featured image won't display

Try clearing WPP’s image cache (Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools, under Thumbnails) and see if it solves the issue. Otherwise I’m going to ask you to share your site’s URL (and the names of the posts as well) so I can help you out.

I tried clearing the image cache, but that didn’t fix the problem. The site name is annegiles.com, and currently the most popular posts are:

It seems WPP thumbnails are disabled at the moment. Please go to Appeareance > Widgets > WordPress Popular Posts and enable them.

Weird! I did as you suggested and enabled the thumbnails in the widget, but when I hit “save,” instead of saving the change it deleted the change. Each time I hit save, the check disappears from the box.

Ah, about that: [FAQ] I’m unable to activate the “Display post thumbnail” option. Why?

You said that WPP thumbnails were working before so something must have changed on your side. Did you move your site to another hosting recently?

I checked with our back-end tech person, who informed me that he did install a new version of PHP recently. He managed to re-install the necessary extension, and now the “display post thumbnail” option is working again.
