Thumbnail grid of recent posts

  • Hi!
    Is it possible to make a thumbnail grid of recent posts so it does not load the image from featured image, but from custom fields on every post or something else?
    Like on: site with thumbnail grid/
    I am using featured image for slider

    I cant find any plugin which does above mentioned job:(
