Thumbnail doesn't call form

    I’ve got the page working with my thumbnails. However, I get an error page when I click on the thumbnail I want to use. The image doesn’t come up and there is no form (just the 404 message). I am able to get the form to work on its own, but not in conjunction with the photo.

    I’m using WordPress version 3.8.1
    WpGreet 3.9
    NextGen Gallery 2.0.57

    I’ve used the patch index.php (the 211 version) for NextGen Gallery.

    My settings for wpgreet: PHP mail function, Fetch cards online, no spam protection, everyone can send cards.

    I have gone through the support forums and haven’t been able to find a fix that works for me. I’ve even tried using older versions of NextGen Gallery. Any help would be appreciated.

    I also wonder if there is a way bypass the page with the thumbnails and go directly to the form and have an image send with the form information. We don’t necessarily need multiple images for this greeting card.

  • Make sure there are no other plugins lightboxes and such, as they may interfere. I’ve had to disable the lightbox in my theme to make it work.

    As for bypassing the thumbnails I think that was kind of answered in another post just before you (greet without gallery)

    i’ll check the plugins! thought of the image only idea as I was typing the post and didn’t think to look back! i’ll try that one too.

    Please check and double check if you set the form page correctly, if in doubt change something in the admin dialog from wp-greet and press save to make sure it is saved.

    Yes, there is a way to bypass the gallery.
    If you set up wp-greet with gallery, just use the link the thumbnail points to, to go directly to the greet card form page

    Same issue! Thumbnails show up perfectly IN POST, but there is NO FORM. No error is generated, just NO FORM. I placed the text “[wp-greet]” in the body of the post, however it simply places the form ABOVE the thumbnails. How do I get the form to popup when a thumbnail is clicked?

    I think it is easier to put the form in another post and then select this post in the wp-greet admin dialog as the form page and save it

    Unfortunately no, it’s *not* easier. Because truapple, websta, and myself, have all simply not understood how this works and got it running correctly, and that’s just within the last day! Nobody is criticising because we’re all grateful to you for creating the plugin in the first place, but if you want it to be widely used then we really need some better instructions ??

    Yeah, well I am not a native speaker and obviously the instructions should be better.

    works, like a charm ??

    I tested with greetsnewpage.
    I connected the galleries to wp-greet using the wp-greet/galleries admin dialog (just checked the checkbox and click save)
    I saved the greetform (greetsnewpage) in the wp-greet admin dialog
    I went to the greetsnewpage and sent a card.
    Then I fetched the card and it works.

    Think it was the missing connection for the galleries.
