I’m currently looking to create an archive for a client that’s a bit different from Webcomic’s default. What they want is to display each storyline individually with navigation that moves between storylines. And on top of that, displaying each substoryline in accordian menus. Is this possible?

To help explain this I made two quick mockups of what they’re looking for here.

Now I think I know how to do the accordian menus, but I’m having trouble with the Webcomic documentation since it doesn’t give examples of how it’s used. So I’m struggling to figure out if we can navigate from storyline to storyline.

As for thumbnails, I haven’t dug into it but I believe I can switch the archive to thumbnail format using the method described in this thread. If I’m wrong there I’d appreciate any help!

  • I don’t know any way to automate all of this…but how large are these umbrella storylines? (Books? Volumes?)

If the artist will be adding new sub-storylines to the same book for 6+ months before launching the next book, it might be easiest to just manually create a new archive page every time a new book starts.
