    Thanks for your wonderful plugin, works great. I am using it to move images 20-100mb in size into my WP Uploads folder, but I see thumbnails are not being generated (from Dropbox import). Is this my problem, or a limitation with the plugin? Any ideas how I’d solve the issue.

    Should mention- this is true on images of 200kb, as well as the images I mainly import to WP which are 20 or 40mb. With no thumbnail, the media browser grinds to a halt!

    @callumalden,

    can you share some more details? What thumbnails are not generated?
    For files imported to WP media library?
    Screenshots and/or URLs may help.

    Hey Dmitry, the thumbnails are not generated for imported files which are of a large size 20MB (or 300DPI). So I think the issue is with WordPress’ demands on PHP Memory. Not your plugin. But I don’t have a solution. Perhaps you could bypass this issue by importing the UploadCare thumbnail into WP Uploads?

    It seems WP has a limit on thumbnail creation, if the original image size is thousands of pixels (my images are for print, so they are all huge) it can’t deal with the file size.

    If you’re importing files via Uploadcare to WP you have two options.
    File are stored with Uploadcare or files are stored in your WP instance.

    If files are stored with Uploadcare, there is a limit for what images our CDN can process. Huge images, for example, cannot be treated as images ?? Is that the case?

    Hello again, yes it does seem that is the case. The images in question are high resolution images for print. I’m using Woocommerce as part of my print-processing system and it seems building thumbnails from these large images is beyond the CDN, beyond most web hosts’ PHP limits. Understandable. Thanks for your help!
