Thumbnail not visible in facebook app

    Hi, I’m experciencing this issue and it is driving me crazy.
    Open graph are ok and eveything works if I see facebook from browsers (desktop or mobile) but image is not visible when I see the post from facebook app.
    Further I’ve noticed that it affects also old posts that are ok when published.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    You mentioned that when you share your posts on Facebook app, the image does not show up. So we tested it and the image does show! You may refer to this image.

    Could it be that you are referring to something else?

    Hi, thank for your wuick reply.
    I forgot to say that the issue is only in android app, maybe you’re in iOS?

    Thanks for the screenshot. Our test was performed on an Android device.

    You may want to clear cache on the Facebook app and then restart the device. Under ‘Settings’ in the app, click ‘Clear space’. That should help.

    I don’t use facebook, so the app has been installed for the purpose.
    I’ve just tried to clear cache and nothing changed.
    All users reported us this issue.

    Have you tried to publish it and after you checked if you see image?

    We’ve confirmed that Yoast SEO is adding the correct Open Graph tags and Facebook is showing the correct image in the browsers and the Facebook Debugger.

    We’re sorry to hear that you’re still not able to see the preview image in the Facebook Android app. This looks like an issue that is specific to the app, not something that can be fixed with Yoast SEO, unfortunately.
