Throws an error in Theme Check plugin

  • The latest version of Theme Check plugin throws this error when your plugin is active:

    “WARNING: Found wp_deregister_script in functions.php. Themes must not deregister scripts that are included in WordPress. Deregistering third party scripts that are registered by parent themes is allowed.”

    In the past this happened only when deregistering core scripts in the Admin Area. Now the Theme Check developers have decreed that no theme may deregister any core scripts, either frontend or otherwise for any reason whatsoever.
