    I am going to make three WordPress websites, one for myself and one each for two friends.

    In an attempt to start right I have a couple of questions please.

    I want to install the sites on windows xp, I assume that I make a folder for each website and then install a bitnami wordpress stack in each? (I have loads of hard disk space, two terrabites)

    Presumably once I have made the websites can I just coppy the wordpressfiles to the web host?

  • Yes, that would be one way to do it with Bitnami. Don’t forget though, that when you copy the sites to the web host that you also have to copy each database to their respective hosted database.

    That said, my preferred method it to use a local web server such as The Uniform Server (Windows) or MAMP (Mac) instead of a dedicated WP app such as the one mentioned. More flexible, although may take a tad more work to initially set up.
