Three paragraphs create a spacer block even when there is text in them

  • As soon as I make three paragraphs, even when there is text in them, it creates a spacer block in place of them. I have multiple users using this editor and as I cannot make for everyone for this feature to be disabled it has become quite a big problem.

    This issue seems to have been happening since the new update of WordPress to 6.5. Please fix this soon.

    I confirm I have exactly the same issue with WordPress 6.5 and EditorsKit 1.40.5. Deactivating the plugin fixes the issue, thus it breaks several conditional displays on my site plus hyperlinks on Cover Image Blocks.

    I have the the same issue with WordPress 6.5.

    No change with today’s 6.5.2 update.

    Same problem here, since WP 6.5. EditorsKit version 1.40.5.

    Found kind of a workaraound…

    Deactivate EditorsKit, edit post, save post, reactivate EditorsKit

    I have the same problem since WordPress 6.5.
    Is the issue will be fixed soon? Because i have multiple users of my site that can not edit post anymore cause of the spacing block who is adding instead of paragraph. This is very problematic.

    Unfortunately, it has also been doing this to me for a long time on the pages. Changes the paragraph to a space. It’s very annoying. I have to disable the plugin to be able to edit. I believe there will be a fix soon ?? And thanks for this great plugin!

    Same problem here. I disabled the plugin and hope it will be fixed soon.

    The option to disable this “feature” is in the plugin settings. Click EditorsKit in left menu, then Features Manager. Under the Writing column, uncheck the box next to Transform 3 Empty Paragraphs to Spacer Block. Be sure to reload any currently open pages that you’re editing for it to take effect.

    Thanks for your reply @tavaresd. I uncheck the box in the plugin settings that you describe and i don’t have the problem anymore while i’m editing content in Gutenberg.

    This is happening on a client site – even with the “Transform 3 Empty Paragraphs to Spacer Block” unchecked. Any ideas other than disabling the plugin and then re-enabling?

    Currently we are unable to copy and pastes paragraphs of text because each time we do the paragraphs are auto-converted into Spacer Blocks… very unhelpful.
