Hi, I need to use three different languages in my web page. You can see the web here https://www.inf.upv.es/www/etsinf/es/
The widget is working in the bottom.
Now, I’m trying to translate the word ‘view or views’ in two more languages: Spanish and Catalan.

    • It’s translated to Spanish, but I need to change the word ‘vistas’ to ‘Consultas’
    • In addition, I need to translate to Catalan: the word ‘views’ to ‘Consultes’

I’m using your file .po but it seems not to be working.
    Could you help me?

    ?Hola!

I’m using your file .po but it seems not to be working.

Chances are there’s a .po/.mo file in your wp-content/languages/plugins already, which WPP will use instead of the one bundled with it if found.

Try moving your .mo/.po files into wp-content/languages/plugins and you should be good to go.

In addition, I need to translate to Catalan: the word ‘views’ to ‘Consultes’

All you need to do is create the corresponding .mo/.po catalan file. It’s the same process.

    Thanks for your help.
    I move the to wp-content/languages/plugins:
    -Spanish works perfectly
-But Catalan doesn’t work. I’ve translated the original .po from English version and I translated with Poedit the word: views->Consultes and view->Consulta
    But it doesn’t work.

    Regards,
    Julia

Is it possible to have three languages at the same time?

Is it possible to have three languages at the same time?

With a multilingual plugin (Polylang, WPML, etc.) yes, it is possible to use multiple languages with WordPress ??

    I have qtranslateX

    Plugin Author Hector Cabrera

    (@hcabrera)

Then you are good to go ?? If WordPress isn’t picking up the catalan translation, double check that:

    • The filename is wordpress-popular-posts-ca.po.
    • The .po file language is set to Catalan.

No, wait a sec. WPP doesn’t officially support qtranslateX. It might be the reason why you don’t see the català translation.

    ohhh, can’t I do anything?

    Use Polylang instead? ??

Seriously now, no, unfortunately there’s nothing to be done at this time. I might consider adding support for qtranslateX in the future but it’ll probably take some time.

    ok, thank you.
Some plugins I have modified the text using this ‘[:es]Consultas[:ca]Consultes[:en]Views’
If you consider I can do something like that in some scripts, tell me please.
