Three is coming … and malfunctions

    Hello, I am seeing strange malfunctions when trying to edit contact forms. First, I can not save edits to Email or Action texts. Second, when trying to create and save a new action, WordPress crashes and I am getting a bug report mail (excerpt following below).

    Also, when opening the Ninja Forms pages within the backend, I am seeing a big banner “THREE is coming! A major update is coming to Ninja Forms.” But I see I am actually using version 3.4.34

    What might be wrong here?

  • I had crazy issues with php 7.4. One other thing I noticed was not being able to display submissions from the Ninja Forms dashboard.

    This was also happening using basic themes – twenty fifteen and twenty seventeen

    Resetting php version to 7.3.2 helped me.

    I’ve tried this and switched to PHP 7.3 but it did not help. Still edits to Mails or Actions can no be saved.

    I have noticed at system status that it claims to use the 2.9 core of Ninja Forms? Could that be possible?

    It appears that you are still using the deprecated, 2.9.x codebase. You can upgrade to the 3 codebase by following this documentation. https://ninjaforms.com/docs/conversion/

    Thanks a lot! That went easy, now I am seeing the real version 3 for the first time and noticed, I have been missing something. ??

    This was not obvious though… “Advanced settings” were hidden by default and I did not notice the Update button before. Also, the banner “THREE is coming” which I was seeing seemed like an advance notice.
