• After upgrading to WordPress 3.8, the threading (nesting) of the comments stopped working. In the Setting the “Threaded – nested – comments” are enabled. But on the blog they just move more and more to the right, even if they a new comment (not a reply to the previous comment).
The theme is Tarski, not updated for awhile, since I do not want to go through the hassle of customizing the page again. Do you think this might be the problem.
    The page is lolabuland.com

    thanks for your help

  • It’s probably an issue with your theme. When you customize you should do it in a child theme. That way you don’t have to worry about updates overwriting your changes.

    Hi.

What exactly does “child theme” mean? If I copy style.css from the old theme and copy it into the new one – will it work?

Thanks so much for your reply.

EDIT: I updated my theme but the problem remains. The comments do not thread properly. Any suggestions?

Anybody? I really don’t know what to do. Is there a way to downgrade to WordPress 3.7.1?

Me too: same problem after going to 3.8.
Mine is a custom self-made theme, always worked right till now.
    I found solutione here:

It was occuring due to WP-Minify plugin. I have deactivated it now & threaded comment is working well.
