How do you deal with a thread in the wrong forum.
Do you advise the poster to re-post in a correct forum?
Do you tag the thread with a keyword for a moderator to move? If so, which keyword?

  • the topics get usually found and answered in whatever sub forum they are.
imho, no reason to tag those topics or ask the questioner to re-post.

only particularly with plugin questions, it makes sense to ask the questioner to re-post in the specific plugin’s support section (because there is no easy way to move the question), as this makes it more likely for the plugin developer to see and answer.

otherwise just let them get on with it.

I sometimes move topics, mostly support questions, away from the ‘Your WordPress’ sub forum.
