    I am starting a new topic because this is still not resolved. Apologize for the delay.

    For example:
    https://sitename.org/shop/page/2/?product_view=list&product_count=36&paged=1
    redirects to:
    https://sitename.org/shop/?product_view=list&product_count=36

    It appears to be for paginated items. Any idea how to correct this or what is causing it?

    I tried your recommendations including checking htaccess file for redirection directive, set up a staging site to test plugin and theme conflicts (disabled all plugins except Woocommerce and used twenty-twenty-one default theme), and saved permalinks, none of which corrected the redirects. Any other suggestions? thank you

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

    … but the Rank Math plugin is not among your installed plugins! It is not clear what could be the reason.

    Yes, please understand the redirects are found by doing a site crawl with Screaming Frog so regardless of browser or computer, they are there. We manage other Woocommerce sites and I have never seen this before. The redirects are related to pagination. See original post. For example:
    https://sitename.org/shop/page/2/?product_view=list&product_count=36&paged=1
    redirects to:
    https://sitename.org/shop/?product_view=list&product_count=36
    Is there something that would specifically cause redirects for pagination like this? thanks for the assistance

    This is the expected behavior.

    On your link /shop/page/2/?product_view=list&product_count=36&paged=1, note the paged=1 query string appended to the end of the URL:
    /shop/page/2/?product_view=list&product_count=36&paged=1.

    The “page” parameter is meant to redirect the user to the corresponding pagination number.
    In this case, since its value is 1, it is redirecting, as expected, from the second page’s URL (/shop/page/2/) to the first page’s URL (/shop/).

    I hope that clarifies your question.

    So if I am understanding correctly, this is supposed to be redirecting? I have not seen this on other Woocommerce managed sites so it did not seem like normal behavior.

    The way we found them was by doing a crawl in Screaming Frog which we do routinely to check for redirects and 404’s. There are no specific steps to reproduce it.
    As noted earlier, the redirects are on the /shop and /product-category pages pagination.

    I understand that your site is being visited using links with redirection parameters.

    You might want to find out the origins of those links in order to understand why they’re being published like that.
    This can be tracked down using the HTTP Referrer header:

    It is only on pagination for Woocommerce products, shop and category pages. As I have mentioned, I set up a staging site to check for plugin/theme conflicts and they are still there even with default theme and no other plugins activated.

    I can see the first link works and points to a current page. I’m not sure why you would add &paged=1 at the end of that link.

    /shop/page/2/?product_view=list&product_count=36 => works
    /shop/page/2/?product_view=list&product_count=36&paged=1 => redirects
