Thoughts on Image:Widget placement

All, I have been playing around with different widgets on the site, i am struggling to find the appropriate colormag widget that displays full width of the middle section (@Desktop) – The mobile experience is great.

Primarily content crawled and placed on the site by some editors, my mileage may vary as they scrape images, screenshot, etc. so image size is not consistent. So either I attempt to enforce the image size, structure the tables differently, fixup w/ some css, etc. Not sure what might be the best course of action.
