yeah the second site loads way faster. but ive seen that theme over and over. that probably doesnt matter though, im slightly addicted to browsing wordpress info sites.

I’m guessing the 2nd site loads faster because their are more widgets on the first site.

Im not boober, and you may not appreciate this answer, but the best themes are always going to be the ones you do yourself.

The joy is in the details, and knowing when you look at something that someone, maybe even you, put their heart and soul into what you are looking at. And that that someone was actually the person behind the curtain, and not some over on some other web site.

Nothing against any themes, but theres few that arent over-used on the web.

As for good places to find them .. google knows all.

There are a lot of nice themes there, you can use them as they are or modify them to your liking if you don’t have the knowledge to make your own themes from scratch – which most people don’t.

And generally you can simply do a search on yahoo or google of “wordpress themes”

some people cant make their own themes, i think most people who use wordpress probably arent designers.
google is always a good place to find themes, but not so much the big themes packed sites, i prefer sites that deal with design in general, like smashing magazine
im always trying to find decent themes for friends who wanna use wordpress. im super picky though so the advice is usually unwanted ??

yah – i’m super picky also. do you know of any good themes that would easily allow me to recreate my current website – https://www.rickonline.us – (vidoes, pictures galleries, etc)

lordy, without getting off topic, can i just say that you dont have to be a designer to make a wp theme. I am NOT a designer by any means, and I managed to squeeze out 2.

but anyway..I didnt think it would be appreciated, some ppl dont have the patience, I guess.
