    WordPress 4.0
    ThirstyAffiliates Version 2.4.8
    ThirstyAffiliates Autolinker Version 1.2.1
    WordPress SEO Yoast Version 1.6.1

Since upgrading to WordPress 4.0, the ThirstyAffiliates plugin clashes with Yoast SEO plugin. This deletes all the SEO plugin dialogue boxes from the Post page.

Also, the plugin disables the ‘Insert/Edit Link’ function in the WordPress post Toolbar.

Deactivating the ThirstyAffiliates plugin and everything works fine.

Not sure how to get more info as to what is causing this, but a fix would be appreciated ASAP, as these are the 2 most useful plugins I use.

    Thanks.

  • Hi thecatweasel,

    Hi thecatweasel,

I haven’t been able to replicate this. Can you please check if there is any javascript conflicts on the page? (right click and Inspect, then look at the Console)

I’ve just tested on a fresh install with both plugins and there is no conflict I could see.

    Cheers,
    Josh

    Josh,

    Thanks for your reply.

Not sure if I’ve done this correctly, but the Console shows the following:

    Hey Ray,

There’s a couple of broken javascript calls there, particularly these two I’m more concerned about:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘open’ of undefined load-scripts.php:1082
13 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘show’ of undefined

The rest is just random CSS stuff, nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately I probably can’t really do too much else unless I can get access to the site and have a look. If you’re ok with that I will need you to create a new admin login for me. Shoot me an email, josh at thirstyaffiliates dot com, and we’ll try and work it what’s happening.

    Problem now sorted (I think!)

It would appear to be a problem with the WordPress update via the WordPress Dashboard. It looks like it corrupted something in the database.

A clean install of WordPress and re-import of all posts, and things seem back to normal.

Great plugin and thanks for the support.

    Thanks for updating us Ray!

Glad you got it sorted, very odd things can happen with a corrupted installation and I think that might be why we were seeing some of that other weirdness we spoke about in our emails.

    Best of luck.

    Cheers,
    Josh
