  • Hello all.
I’ve got a similar problem in that just recently my page doesn’t load. I contacted my host and they said my page shows a “redirect loop”. They say:
Further investigation shows that wp-confing.php was update 01/19/2016, I also see that roamingourway.com is redirecting to https://www.roamingourway.com.
I’ve done nothing to the config of this site, just posted another topic.
Any suggestions on how to get things back to normal.

Also, sorry but I’m not tech savvy about this stuff so in plain speak if possible.
    Thanks much.

    Hi,

I had a couple of site with the same issue.
I think that last WordPress udate is having some issues with some sites (not every site).

You can download a previous version (the one before the issue) and replace all the files EXCEPT wp-content. Don′t change anything inside that folder.

    Hope that help you out!

    Bensita,
Thanks. I went to www.remarpro.com site and found rel. 4.4, the previous version, but couldn’t download it. There wasn’t an option for downloading just a description / explanation of why “Clifford” was used.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for your time.
    Cheers,
    Dan

Hi, you can find the version you want to download here!

    Hello,
Make sure there is nothing in your .htaccess file causing a redirect. This seems to be the #1 cause.

    Thanks.

Thanks to all that responded, much appreciated but heres the situation. I am not a programmer, I do not write code, and I don’t have a clue about where this last version of WordPress 4.4.1 is located so that I can replace it. I built this website over 2 months by watching videos and experimenting with templates. That is the extent of my “web” – “programming” knowledge.
I guess I’m not sure what has happened. One day my site works fine, the next day it’s broke, without me doing anything. How did this happen? Who broke my (and from the chatter apparently other websites) website? Why is this now my problem to fix when I did nothing?

If there is someone that can explain how to repair what someone else has broken, in step-by-step plain English, I would greatly appreciate it. Don’t assume I know anything about code, programming, registries, widgets, architecture, hosting, directories, etc.

Thanks for listening and if you can help, much appreciated.

    Hi,

I know the feeling when you have no clue about it.
Maybe this video can help you: is about downgrading your worpdress to an older version.

    Hope it helps!

    Hey Guys

Thank you all for the contribution, but I must say, the site is working well on my local machine, XAMPP, but not on my live server. Am on VPS hosting, which mean, my server configuration is under my control if to say. I have not placed any limit on its performance.

Could it be any other issue.

    NOTE: My site is multisite.

    Hi Agbams,

I′m not sure this is the solution, but please try modifying your WordPress database following these:

    1. Access to phpMyAdmin thru your cPanel.

    2. Find your WordPress database.

    3. Find “wp_options” and click it. You will see something like this screenshot. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/937253/645cbe0f2b3db922f90def7c802cf28c

    4. Check if “site url” and “home” has the url of the site them. If not, edit them and put the url.

    5. Save.

Let me know if it works!
