• Just today we noticed the product pages started to display ‘This video is unavailable’ error when we first open the page however the error disappears after refreshing the page. imgur

We are using the latest versions of WP, WooCommerce, Yith Video Plugin and PHP 8.1. Wondering if anyone else is facing the issue and whether there are any solutions suggestions.

We could potentially go and open every product page once and refresh but wondering the underlying issue so that we can resolve it overall.

    Cheers,

Even worse, the error is not going away after refreshing the page for the main site of the same multisite:

Figured out that the problematic videos were added with a channel parameter which did not stop the video from being previewed in the Admin panel hence the operations team did not notice the issue:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PERXAjFNEc&ab_channel=BraPrlanta

Also, I noticed sometimes YouTube browser address bar can also display the link as below
    https://youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=6PERXAjFNEc

So now the immediate issue is resolved but 2 features would help in the future:

1- Videos that are added with parameters also show up in the frontend? Or at least if the frontend is not able to display it then the admin panel should also not display it.

2- If the frontend is not able to display a video, could it fall back to the Product image that is displayed for the search results?

    Many thanks,

    Hi ,
Our plugin not support this kind of url, the video url should be simple like "https://youtube.com/watch?v="

    Hi,

We are seeing this issue again for some products that have the correctly formatted youtube links, e.g.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7urkZvIX_Lw
    https://busrapirlanta.com.tr/product/2-el-0-80-karat-pirlanta-tektas-yuzuk/?lang=tr
Now it looks fine but when we opened the product for the first time today it initially showed the video unavailable error:

What do you think might be causing this issue, how can we avoid it?

    Cheers,

Hi @reghta, It seems quite strange behavior, we have tried to replicate the problem but we have not succeeded, the plugin works fine and the videos load without problem.

If you look when you add the video to the product, the image loads fine, so everything is working fine and the video data is being obtained without a problem.
