This site may be Hacked

  • Hello,

    When you search on of the websites I work on I have ” This site may be hacked” under the company link. I downloaded the Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall plugin and it detected some potential threats. The only problem is I don’t know what I am looking for in these threats.

    The threats are in..
    …\wp-includes\js\json2.js
    …\wp-includes\js\json2.min.js
    …\wp-includes\js\tw-sack.js
    …\wp-includes\js\tw-sack.min.js
    …\wp-admin\includes\class-pclzip.php

    May someone help me.

  • Usually the ‘This Site Might Be Hacked’ warning from Google indicates some sort of spam infection in your site.

    Are you seeing any references to things like “cheap” or “viagra” in your database or site files?

    Also, can you provide more information on the plugin warning being generated?

    is tw-sack even part of the current release of wordpress? I don’t see it in the core files of 4.6.1
