‘This site can not be reached’ after changing main domain within wordpress

    I have recently migrated a domain to my wordpress website.
    my original domain is aureumfortunae.com
    I have moved over my new domain: lilbandit.store from shopify to wordpress.
    This process went smoothly and as intended. However, now I clicked ‘make main domain’ on the new domain to start moving over my website but it has completely locked me out of wordpress.
    When I try to access any of the following urls I get the same ‘This site can not be reached’ error message

    lilbandit.store
    lilbandit.store/wp-admin
    aureumfortunae.com
    aureumfortunae.com/wp-admin

    The one thing I can think of that would cause this is that it takes a bit of time for it to update on wordpress’s end but I have not seen any support threads mention this.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Oh and this is the error code that chrome throws up

    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

    I have moved over my new domain: lilbandit.store from shopify to wordpress.

    You have to wait for the DNS to propagate. If you changed the URL in WordPress, and it is still not working it might be a domain related issue, not WordPress. I strongly suggest you to get in touch with your hosting tech support

    The domain was moved over more than a week ago. Also I am fairly sure im hosting it through wordpress itself, not any external service. although I have no way of checking since I dont have access to my wordpress dashboard at the moment

    Are you using wordpress.com as a hosting provider? I strongly suggest you to contact their tech support, if a week has passed there might be an issue within the domain configuration.

    OK, Maybe I am not wording it correctly. The domain was moved over from shopify a week ago, without issues.

    The issue arose today, when I tried to make the new domain the main domain within wordpress.

    I will contact tech support, thank you!
