    Hi,

    On a product page I see the option:

    VIES Settings
    This product is a service Tick this box if you want this product to be considered a service when generating the VIES report.

    For which products should I check this box? Is it for Digital goods where there is no human live intervention, or for all products that are services, whether there is live human interaction or not, or something else?

    That checkbox is used to indicate if a product should be considered a service when generating the VIES report. From the EU VAT Assistant’s perspective, that just changes a value from “0” (not a service) to “1” (service) in the report.

    I would recommend to contact your tax advisor and ask which of the products you sell should be considered services, then you can simply tick that box for the appropriate ones.
