This plugin slows down my site

    I’m using this Quick View plugin but it slows down the website a lot, if I turn it off my site has +10 score with Pagespeed Insights from Google.

    You could optimize the plugin by programming it with php 7 at least because it is really slow as a plugin.

    As soon as I’m active this plugin, I lose 10 score points with Google’s Pagespeed Insights. while turning it off I immediately gain +10 points.

    This is the plugin that slows down my site manfully there is no plugin that makes it slower than this, I hope you can do something.

    I’ve already tried all the cache plugins and lazy loading doesn’t change anything, just turning off your plugin the site comes back fast.

    Try it yourself turn off the plugin on your site and check the speed from

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

    after turn on the plugin and check again and you’ll notice a big difference in speed.

    I tested YITH Quick View + YITH Wishlist and my site lose 20 points of score with Pagespeed Insights from Google, if i deacticate it i earn +20 points of score.

    I use php 7.3.

    I don’t know what you write.

    When I install and activated your plugin the site becomes very slow is a common thing in all your plugins make sites slow, why don’t you try it too?

    It is simple, activate your plugin and measure the speed and after you turn it off and measure it again and you will notice a great loss of speed using your plugin.

    Why do your plugins slow down websites where they are installed so much?

    I think since you programmed them with an old php language they are slow for this reason while today woocommerce requires minimum php 7 which is more efficient and fast.

    Why do not code your plugin with php 7 like woocommerce ?

    the loading speed could depend on many factors, so it’s not simple discovering what is causing a slowdown.
    For example, it could also depend by the performances of your hosting service: there are many hosting providers in the world. You should choose the one you prefer and, based to what you need, you should choose the best hosting service.

    We’ve just made a simple test by creating an online test site with YITH WooCommerce Quick View installed: the PageSpeed Insights score is the same with the plugin enabled and disabled.

    At first, you should isolate the plugin behavior, to check if something in your installation is causing the slowdown: to do this, please, try to deactivate all plugins, leaving only WooCommerce and YITH WooCommerce Quick View active, and see if the problem is solved. If so, try to activate them again, one by one, to see which one causes the issue.
    If the problem isn’t caused by a plugin, try to activate a default WordPress theme (i.e:Twenty Twenty) and see if you have the same issue.
    Also, if you have customized some files in your theme, please try with a fresh installation without any customization.

    In addition, you should analyze the details provided by PageSpeed Insights to check if something specific could be improved.

    I use Orchid Store theme and it recommends using YITH Wishlist and YITH Quick View.

    If I use Orchid Store if I activate YITH Wishlist and YITH Quick View I lose 15-20 points on score on Google’s Pagespeed Insights, if i disabled YITH Wishlist and YITH Quick View I earn 15-20 points of speed.

    Could this theme I use from the woocommerce product gallery on the home page be the cause ?

    Please you can try the Orchid Store theme (free version) with YITH Wishlist and YITH Quick View and evaluate slowdown impact.

    Hi there,
    this issue does not exists using a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty, so it could depends by your theme or a combination with your plugins.
    I suggest you try only those plugins with the theme and see if the scenario change or not.
    In additional you could contact theme developers to see if they apply any customization by their side that could affect the site performance.
