• Hi

I’m using this wishlist plugin but it slows down the website a lot, if I turn it off my site has +10 score with Pagespeed Insights from Google.

You could optimize the plugin by programming it with php 7 at least because it is really slow as a plugin.

As soon as I’m active this plugin, I lose 10 score points with Google’s Pagespeed Insights. while turning it off I immediately gain +10 points.

This is the plugin that slows down my site manfully there is no plugin that makes it slower than this, I hope you can do something.

I’ve already tried all the cache plugins and lazy loading doesn’t change anything, just turning off your plugin the site comes back fast.

Try it yourself turn off the plugin on your site and check the speed from

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

after turn on the plugin and check again and you’ll notice a big difference in speed.

    Thanks

    Hi there

Please, try to disable “Ajax loading” option under WP Dashboard -> YITH -> Wishlist -> General Settings, and let me know if this helps with performance of your site

    Hi @yithemes

I have already disabled Ajax loading (default option) i never activated it.

I have turned off all the plugins of my wordpress and notice that all your plugins make the site slow, I use both Quick View and Wishlist and both slow down the site a lot.

On average using your plugins I lose 10 score points Pagespeed Insights from Google for each plugin.

I do 500 tests, turning off and activating 1 plugin at a time, yours plugin make the site very slow.

I’m sorry because they’re nice plugins but they slow down the site too much, so I’m considering whether to use or delete them.

You try, turn on YITH Quick Views and YITH Wishlist, and measure your site’s speed 10 times, then turn them off and measure them again 10 times, and you’ll notice a big difference.

In my opinion it is caused by deprecated php instructions if you update to php 7 it will also go much better because woocommerce requires php 7 now and therefore it makes no sense that your woocommerce plugin is programmed with an old slow php language, use php 7 which is much faster.

Woocommerce requires php 7 mandatory (PHP Version: 7.0 or higher) and therefore your plugin should be updated to php 7 because it is used with Woocommerce.

Older versions of php are slow.

    Thanks

    Hi again

YITH WooCommerce Wishlist is fully compatible with PHP 7.0; actually, we currently develop on PHP 7.4, and we’re in the process of testing all of our plugins with PHP 8.0

As far as our plugin is concerned, you could totally enable PHP 7 on your server to improve processing performance

    Hi again

It would be better if you could share analysis for your site, maybe highlighting what changes in the results when you activate our plugins.

This way we can focus on what can be improved for your site

    Hi @yithemes

I have carried out all the possible tests, when I turn on your plugins my site goes slower than 30%, if I turn them off I gain 30% speed is sure that it is your plugins that slow down the site because just turn them off to have the site +30% faster. Try it too and you will notice it right away, unfortunately it is a problem this slowness of your plugins, no other plugin slows down the sit like yours. I carried out 500 different tests, turning off your plugins I always gain +30% speed.

After doing 500 tests I can safely confirm that it is your plugins that slow down the site by 30% and no other plugins.
