This plugin is not working consistently

    This plugin is optimising some images after upload and it is leaving others un-optimiseed.

    Can you tell me how to fix this problem?

    Hey @terryally – thank you for using RIAU plugin! ??

    Please note that this plugin only resizes images, it doesn’t optimize them.
    Do you use another plugin to optimize the images?

    Hi,

    Last year when I used this plugin on another site, it would reduce the file size from, say, 10MB to less than 500k.

    This yeear on a newly installed site, it does not do it with every image. From a gallery of images that I was creating it reduce maybe 75% of the images became smaller.

    I have the max dimensions set to 1200px.

    By resizing does it also not reduce the size of the file …. or am I thinking about another plugin?

    Hi Terry,

    Our plugin RIAU just resizes the images; it does not apply any optimization. That’s ShortPixel Image Optimizer‘s job ??

    Having said that, the resizing is not an exact formula. a 10MB file won’t always be reduced to 500KB. It depends on many other things.
