    Some users are claiming this plugin is the reason for a hack.
    This is not true.

    What appears to be going on is that the people claiming the plugin contains malware are confusing this plugin with a malicious plugin with the same name being added to websites after they have been hacked.

    You’ll need to find out how the malicious plugin (pretending to be “protect uploads“) could have been injected into your site(s).

    More information about what could happen to your website if you think you’ve been hacked.
