This plugin is incompatible with the popular Types plugin
-
Confirmed this issue with the Types developers but not sure who needs to fix their plugins. Basically if you have a page with children assigned via Types and save the parent page the URL is automatically assigned to all the children also! Creating conflict.
1) With the Types plugin installed create a custom post type (Mine is called Events). Give that post type to option to use pages as a parent.
2) Create a parent pages for the events (in Pages type)
3) Create a lots of events (in the event post type) and assign them to the parent page (From the Pages type)
4) With the custom permlink plugin installed and active edit the permlink of the parent page, you do this the normal way you edit a link in wordpressNow in that Tools > Custom permlink page you should see not only the parent page but all the children of that page all with the exact same permlink. If you visit them on the public site you will get which ever is top, if you fix that one then you get the next etc.
If you were to fix all those links and make another change to the parent page (not even changing the URL) it will reset all the links again to be the same.
Just though I should report it here too incase it is something you are able to fix.
