This plugin hides important error messages

    For example when creating a new user it hides “A Nickname is required. Please choose a nickname or fill out your first and last name.”

    I’ve seen other instances of important messages such as that being hidden as well, you see it quickly flash appear and then be hidden.

    I disabled the plugin and will be looking for another that doesn’t mess up wordpress like this. Otherwise it’s a great plugin, the best I think. So I hope this will be fixed.

    We can reproduce this issue and can confirm this is a bug. It should not be like this.

    Ok great, please let me know once the update is released.

    I’ve currently switched to the “Hide admin notices” plugin. It’s better in this regard but it still has its pitfalls also…

    It does show important messages, but only in the hidden notifications panel.

    The problem with that is when you get an error message or another similar kind of important notification, those are hidden away in the notifications panel and thus you won’t see them unless you look.

    This is a problem when things aren’t working, as then you don’t understand the reason why because the “why” error notification is hidden by the plugin.

    Indeed JanPaul, completely understandable. By the way, if you deactivate the plugin and you leave it installed you will be alerted when the update is released.
