This plugin hasn't worked right in over 2 yrs

So disappointed with this plugin. The first versions were simple, worked well with nearly all wordpress themes and additional plugins and hasn’t worked for me on any of my sites or any of my themes.. always something ‘off’. This time, i can finally get the dropdown menu to let me choose a gallery – and the images show up as big blue ‘x”s.
