    I see “This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”

    Could you confirm whether it is safe to use this plugin, now and in foreseeable future.

    We aren’t actively maintaining the plugin at this time and may try to find a new home for it in the near future.

    Could you explain a bit more please. Is it safe to use at the moment? What do you mean by find a new home?

    This functionality is crucial to me but I don’t want to use it if it isn’t safe.

    As far as I am aware there are no security issues concerning the plugin. Find a new home would mean a new development team taking over maintaining the plugin.

    Ah, OK, that sounds good, thank you. A new home would be great – good luck with that.

    Yeah that’s an issue for sure. I’m starting out a new project that would benefit from this, but as things stand I don’t know if Im risking it

    Since this plugin is GPL and open-source, I suppose someone enterprising can create a fork of it and sell it to BBPress forum owners.
