This plugin doesnt appear to support x-default tag?

in the Hreflang -> Connections menu select “x-default – don’t target a specific language or locale” in one of the Language fields. It’s the first option of the selector.

Are we doing this correctly. Please see the following example: –

UK and main website: –

Same product on our USA website: –

no. Here the URL https://www.alfredco.com/shop/mens-jewellery/mens-necklaces/mens-gunmetal-chain-necklace/ should be “x-default” or “en-gb”.

The URL is referenced to times with two different hreflang attribute values.

But it is both – we want customers who google does not know their location and language for to go to the x-default (main) domain. As well as all english speaking customers from great britain.

If we do not list a x-default where will google send customers who they do not know their language or location?

In our customers’ sites I most of times see “x-default” or a precise target. (like “en-gb”, etc.)

There seem to be no information on the web on the way Google interprets multiple hreflang values for the same URL.
